hey guys its kim… its been a while since my last post bc I’ve been on the road a lot. last week I went to la for the warped tour- definitely an interesting time. my friend rachel said that in the time span of three songs, she got hit in the head with some girls foot, saw another girl passed out on the ground, and someone else bleeding and being taken away on a stretcher!! I just wanted to give you guys some images so you can get a feel of just how crazy the warped tour can be. it was definitely cool though and I got to learn about a ton of bands that I might not have listened to otherwise. while I was there, I interviewed the guys of Cartel. They were a whole lot of fun and def amuse each other well while they’re on the road. its really refreshing to talk to a band that is passionate about their music but that also knows the importance of not taking themselves too seriously. they were def a blast to interview and the experience made me a even more interested in their sound and performance. on the more serious side of things, I also interviewed the guys of Rise Against. These guys were articulate, passionate, and strong minded- their mission is about socoal awareness and change, and their faith in the nations youth to rise against the powers that ignore the importance of respecting environmental issues, animal rights and other such social awarenesses. their music falls in a genre that I don’t usually listen to, but after the interview, I found their performance intensely enjoyable and their sound quite unique. speaking of which, I met this kid named ryan the other day bc of a modeling campaign we’re both involved in- turns out, he’s in a band called Love Kills Boy. its sound is def reminiscent of warped tour for me but has a unique kick to it that I’m into. check them out if you’re a pop punk fan.
